Threadlifts
A thread lift is a minimally invasive procedure that lifts and tightens the face, or other sagging areas of the body, using absorbable sutures placed beneath the skin.

What it involves
Thread lifts insert barbed or smooth sutures under the skin to lift and tighten tissue. Commonly treated areas include the cheeks, jowls, brow and neck, and body areas such as the arms or thighs.
How it works
Threads are usually made from absorbable materials such as polydioxanone. They provide immediate lift through the mechanical action of threading, and promote collagen production over time for additional tightening and rejuvenation.
The appointment
- Duration — typically 30 minutes to an hour.
- Anaesthesia — local anaesthesia is generally used.
- Recovery — minimal downtime; swelling and bruising usually resolve within days.
Why people choose it
- Non-surgical — a less invasive alternative to a surgical facelift.
- Quick recovery — most people return to normal activity within days.
- Cost-effective — less expensive than surgical options.
